Report: Oklahoma State Gavin Freeman Entering Transfer Portal
The Heritage Hall product reportedly hits the portal.
The portal has been giving plenty to the Pokes over the past few days, but it apparently wasn’t done taking.
Gavin Freeman is entering the portal, according to 247Sports’ Mike Roach. Freeman was the last receiver left on Oklahoma State’s roster who had caught a pass last season.
The 2025 season was Freeman’s second in Stillwater after transferring from Bedlam rival Oklahoma. Freeman played four games while redshirting in 2024 before becoming the Cowboys’ leader in catches (53), receiving yards (481) and receiving touchdowns (four) in 2025.
For his career spanning both state schools, Freeman has caught 81 passes for 667 yards and five touchdowns. He also has 139 rushing yards, a rushing touchdown, 428 return yards and a return touchdown.
Out of Heritage Hall, Freeman was a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He had initially committed to a scholarship offer at Texas Tech before electing to walk on with the Sooners.
The Cowboys have added four portal receivers thus far this window — a necessity given they were down so many numbers. All-MAC selection Israel Polk announced his commitment Tuesday, joining North Texas transfers Wyatt Young, Miles Coleman and Terrence Lewis.
