Young led the American Conference and currently ranks third in the FBS with 1,264 receiving yards to go with 10 touchdowns. He also logged a rushing touchdown. Young set a conference record with 295 yards and two scores in UNT’s 56-24 win over Rice.

247Sports ranks Young as a four-star transfer and the No. 11 wide receiver in the transfer portal. On3 Sports is a little higher on him, tabbing him as the No. 6 WR in the portal.
Following his breakout sophomore season, the 6-foot, 195-pound receiver was named a First Team All-American Conference and a PFSN First Team All-American. Young appeared in all 13 games as a true freshman in 2024 and caught 18 passes for 295 yards and two scores. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Young was a three-star prospect coming out of Katy Tompkins High School by 247Sports which ranked him the No. 234 player in Texas. He played quarterback, running back and receivers during his prep career.
Young teams up with the likes of his former quarterback Drew Mestemaker, as well as running back Caleb Hawkins and many other former UNT teammates in Stillwater.
