Mike Boynton won on two fronts Wednesday with his 2021 class.

Boynton and Oklahoma State landed in four-star shooting guard Langston Love’s top 11, and Boynton also completed a virtual visit with four-star power forward Arthur Kaluma, according to Stock Risers Jake Weingarten.

Kaluma picked up an OSU offer last summer and has since shot into the stratosphere. He is a 6-foot-8 power forward who plays for Dream City Christian in Arizona, though he is originally from Texas. He is the No. 35 recruit in the 2021 class according to 247Sports’ composite rankings, but 247 lists him as the No. 17 recruit in the class in its Top247.

Josh Gershon, a national recruiting analyst for 247Sports, projects Kaluma as a future second-round NBA draft pick.

“Versatile forward whose biggest value is on the defensive end due to size, length, athleticism and instincts. Tremendous defensive upside and what he hangs his hat on at this point. Has outstanding vision for the position; best attribute on offense at this point. Rebounds on both ends of court. Improvement of handle and jumper will have big say in hitting ceiling. Projects as high major starter whose ultimate NBA stock will be determined by how much his offense catches up to his defense.” [247Sports]

Kaluma also boasts offers from Kansas, USC, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and others.

Kaluma isn’t the first person who was reported to virtually visit OSU this month. Top 75 class of 2021 prospect Alex Fudge and class of 2022 forward Isaac Traudt have both reportedly virtually visited.

OSU doesn’t have a 2021 commitment yet, but neither do five other Big 12 schools this early in the cycle. With only Cade Cunningham and Ferron Flavors thought to be leaving from this upcoming season’s team, Boynton might not have as many scholarships to work with as he is used to.

A two-man class of Kaluma and Love might not finish ridiculously high in the national rankings because of the quantity, but that would likely be one of the best two-player classes in the country, hypothetically speaking.
