SWOSU Tight End Bodie Boydstun Commits to Oklahoma State

A tight end from western Oklahoma is jumping up a division to be a Cowboy.

Southwestern Oklahoma State tight end Bodie Boydstun has committed to Oklahoma State.

Listed at 6-foot-5, 240 pounds, Boydstun started his SWOSU career as a quarterback, completing 19 of his 39 pass attempts as a true freshman in 2023 while redshirting.

Boydstun then switched to tight end, where he made three catches for 49 yards as a redshirt freshman in 2024 and caught 14 passes for 191 yards and three touchdowns this past season. He was named to the All-Greater American Conference Second Team for his efforts this past season.

He’s from Enid and went to Oklahoma Bible Academy. Playing quarterback, Boydstun completed 61% of his 211 pass attempts as a high school senior for 2,099 yards and 27 touchdowns, according to MaxPreps. He also ran for 882 yards and 27 scores, made 56 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and three sacks. He led the Trojans to a 13-1 season and an appearance in the Class B semifinals.

Boydstun is the second tight end the Cowboys have picked up on Thursday, joining LSU transfer Donovan Green.
