Tramel on why Leach should go to Stillwater – Uhhh…no.

Chatmon on Holgorsen to WVU – I think newsok.com is just keeping the same Holgorsen picture up all week and rotating school names in and out. Also, has the whole coach-in-waiting thing ever worked out positively? Ever?

Good piece from Ubben on Kendall Hunter – “Hunter’s well-known for being a man of few words, but his play did plenty of talking in 2010, giving the Cowboys an edge on the ground that few spread offenses possess. Returning from a frustrating ankle injury, he ran for 1,516 yards to lead the Big 12 in rushing, his second career season with at least 1,500 yards. That earned him Doak Walker Award finalist status, and a trip to the college football awards last week.”

Ubben on Blackmon and the Heisman – David Ubben is loving him some OSU right now. “I said it last week, but outside of Cam Newton, he was the most unstoppable offensive force in the country. You cannot underestimate the significance of gaining more than 100 yards and scoring a touchdown in each game for 11 straight games. There’s a reason why in all of the years of college football only one player has ever duplicated the feat. And he did it at Pacific. Blackmon did it against NFL-bound cornerbacks at Nebraska and Texas, among others.”

Dr. Saturday ranks Blackmon as the #1 most overachieving player of 2010 – “Blackmon caught 20 passes in 2009 as a redshirt freshman, fourth on the team. The encore: 102 catches for 1,665 yards; 18 touchdowns; 18 receptions of at least 25 yards; at least 100 yards and one touchdown in every game; and the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s best receiver. Blackmon’s skyrocketing draft stock paints him as “the Next Michael Crabtree,” which may turn out to be something of a slight if the Cowboys can convince him to come back next year.”

Decent Big XII basketball break-down by Tulsa World – How bad are OU and Tech?

NYT reporting Malzahn ISN’T going to Vandy – I expect to link to you a story tomorrow saying he IS going there or he’s going to Florida as the coach-in-waiting. By the way, Malzahn gets paid $1.3M to call plays for Cam Netwon? Is the degree of difficulty there really 7 figures?

CNNSI is playing off the college football postseason – Winners advance on fan votes so if you want to see OSU win the MMNC, go vote.
