Three Cowboys won weekly awards for their work in the final week of the regular season.

The Big 12 announced Monday that Dillon Stoner won Offensive Player of the Week, Dominic Richardson won Newcomer of the Week and Jake McClure won Special Teams Player of the Week for their performances in Oklahoma State’s 42-3 win in Waco.

Stoner caught eight passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns in Tylan Wallace’s absence. That yardage total ranks third in program history for a single game. Stoner started the game ablaze, scoring on a 75-yard catch and run on OSU’s second play from scrimmage.

With Chuba Hubbard and LD Brown out and Dezmon Jackson getting nicked up during the game, true freshman Dominic Richardson burst onto the scene and into OSU fans’ hearts.

The former Bishop McGuinness standout ran for 169 yards and his first three career touchdowns on just 23 carries. It’s the most yards an OSU true freshman has ran for in a game since Thurman Thomas. Not bad company.

McClure handled punting duties for an absent Tom Hutton. McClure also holds place kicks and kicks off for the Pokes. On his 10 total boots (kicking and punting), McClure gave the Bears an average starting field position of their own 25.

The only award an OSU player didn’t win this week was the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week. That honor went to TCU’s C.J. Ceasar, who had two interceptions in TCU’s win against Louisiana Tech.
