Three-Star WR Target Logan Saldate Sets Commitment Date

Long-time OSU wide receiver recruit Logan Saldate, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound prospect in the 2024 class from Salinas, California, is set to make his decision next week as he eyes a commitment over Memorial Day weekend.

Saldate is set to make his announcement on 247Sports’ YouTube page at 4 p.m. CT Monday, choosing among OSU, Arizona, Oregon State, Cal and Washington.

Saldate was offered by OSU last summer and has made an unofficial visit to Stillwater, America, but he has not yet made an official visit. He is expected to do that later this summer, and Oregon State and Cal are also on the list of places he is scheduled to visit on an official basis, though the upcoming decision may or may not affect those plans.

Saldate earlier this month named OSU as one of his five finalists, and he noted at the time that the Cowboys were among the pair of schools pushing the hardest to land his commitment. He noted his planned official visit in June at the time and said the other OSU was also in the mix as a contender.

“Both Oregon State and Oklahoma State are recruiting me really hard and I have a great relationship with the coaches at each school, so I’m looking forward to the officials in June,” Saldate told 247 last month.

OSU has seven commitments currently in the 2024 class but none at the receiver position, though Saldate appears to be very much in the mix to become a Cowboy. He is one of several targets out there at receiver who has his eyes on OSU in the 2024 cycle, too, with Arkansas prospect CJ Brown among the dozen recruits who have been offered and are considering the Cowboys.

Saldate last season as a junior recorded 713 yards receiving on 54 receptions for Palma High School and scored 12 times in total on the season. His breakout season earned him offers from Army, Arizona, Utah State, Fresno State, Nevada, UNLV and others in recent months, but it appears the long-time suitors are poised to be best-positioned to secure his commitment Monday.
