Top 40 Prospect Sebastian Williams-Adams Includes Oklahoma State in Top Group
Williams-Adams is a consensus four-star prospect.
The Cowboys could be on their way to landing a four-star forward with a long list of highly regarded offers.
Sebastian Williams-Adams last week cut his recruitment down to eight schools: Oklahoma State, Baylor, SMU, Kansas, Auburn, Texas A&M, Purdue and Vanderbilt. Williams-Adams is a 6-foot-8 forward who is listed as the No. 34 player in the 2025 recruiting class, per the 247Sports Composite ranking. Other offers Williams-Adams has include Alabama, Houston, Kansas State, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas and Texas Tech.
Williams-Adams announced his OSU offer in early June. According to Joe Tipton, Williams-Adams is set to take an official visit to Stillwater on Oct. 4. Before then, he is also expected to visit Texas A&M (Aug. 30), Auburn (Sept. 6), Kansas (Sept. 13), Purdue (Sept. 20) and SMU (Sept. 27). So, the Cowboys would get the last crack at impressing Williams-Adams, should he remain uncommitted throughout those visits.
Out of St. John’s High School in Houston, Williams-Adams averaged 21.1 points, 10 rebounds and 4.4 assists a game as a junior.
At Nike EYBL’s Peach Jam last month, Williams-Adams averaged 14.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists a game while playing for JL3 Elite. What is JL3 Elite you might ask? It’s a Houston-based AAU squad sponsored by John Lucas III, who played at Oklahoma State from 2003 to 2005. He hit that shot that sent Eddie Sutton’s Cowboys to the Final Four in 2004.
Williams-Adams is a consensus four-star recruit, as On3, 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN all bestow that honor upon him. 247Sports is the highest among those outlets on his abilities, as that recruiting service lists Williams-Adams as the No. 33 player in the country and the No. 3 player from the state of Texas.
The Cowboys have one commitment in their 2025 class in in-state standout Carlsheon Young. Young committed to OSU last October under Mike Boynton, but Young has told PFB that he has stuck with his OSU commitment through the coaching change. ESPN lists Young, a guard, has a four-star prospect.
Outside of Williams-Adams and Young, Lutz’s Cowboys have appeared on the top lists of Christian Jeffrey, Kelvin Odih, Kareem Stagg and Omari Witherspoon.
