Top OSU Target Curlee Thomas Sets Commitment Date
Mark that calendar for later this summer.
Texas defensive end prospect Curlee Thomas, one of the top OSU targets in the 2022 cycle, announced Wednesday that he has a commitment date in mind.
A three-star self-proclaimed “QB eater,” Thomas says he will make that decision later this summer — on July 11 — the date of his 17th birthday. Before he commits he is expected to visit some of his finalists including OSU, which is scheduled to host him the weekend of June 16.

Thomas named OSU as one of his top eight schools last month along with Arkansas, UCLA, Texas Tech, Virginia, Cal, Cincinnati and Penn State. He is scheduled for official visits to Cal, Michigan State, OSU and Tech, per 247Sports.
OSU has earned high praise from Thomas throughout the recruiting process since becoming one of his first offers last spring. In an interview with 247Sports, he said the coaching staff was “welcoming” and “honestly good people that I can see myself playing for.”
As a junior, Thomas finished lat season with 58 tackles, 22 tackles for a loss, 16 sacks, two fumble recoveries and a safety for Nolan Catholic, which went 8-1 on the season. The Pokes are trying to add Thomas to a 2022 class that ranks top-20 nationally and already features star power on defense with commitments from Landon Dean, Jordan Crook, Cameron Epps and Gabe Brown.
