Four-star TE Grayson Boomer Commits to OSU over OU, Ohio State, Others
Oklahoma State kicked off Bedlam Saturday with a massive in-state recruiting win over the Sooners, landing four-star tight end Grayson Boomer out of Collinsville.
Boomer is a top-120 prospect nationally rated as the No. 8 player at his position, and the No. 2 overall prospect in the great state of Oklahoma.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to play college football,” he said on Twitter. “I want to thank each and every school for believing in me and presenting me with so many opportunities. After 2 years of walking through the recruiting process, lots of players, and talking with my family and friends, I would like to announce my commitment to Oklahoma State University!! Boomer chose the Pokes over 15 other major offers including OU, Ohio State, Michigan, Arkansas, Iowa State, LSU, Texas, Oregon, Texas A&M and others.
The 6-foot-5 prospect out of Collinsville is an absolute freak at the tight end position, and precisely the type of player OSU is looking to nab to fill its Cowboy Back position. He can line up and block, he’s versatile enough to line up out wide and create mismatch problems, and he’s an all-around dynamo player unlike OSU has landed at the position before.
