TCU Quarterback Kenny Hill Could be Out for Huge Saturday Game Against Texas Tech

Head coach Gary Patterson said on Tuesday that some of TCU’s key players are banged up following the Frogs’ game in Norman against Oklahoma and might not play on Saturday against Texas Tech.
Why am I posting about this on an Oklahoma State blog? Well, if TCU loses against Tech, and Oklahoma State takes care of business against Kansas State and Kansas, then we’re almost certain to get Bedlam II in Arlington for the Big 12 title.
Hill, LBs Travin Howard and Montrel Wilson and safety Nico Small are “between probably and questionable,” according to Patterson.
Enter true freshman Shawn Robinson. The four-star dual-threat QB out of DeSoto has played some in games this season and was a superstar in high school, but potentially being forced into action on the road with a Big 12 title berth on the line is a different animal.
Patterson is undeterred.
“Here’s the thing — in at least three games, the next two games and a bowl game, whether we get a chance to play in the championship game or not, Shawn Robinson is going to be one of the guys we’re going to be looking at to change, to revamp, our offense,” Patterson told reporters. “So sometimes things happen for a reason.”
Patterson mentions QB Shawn Robinson's experience in big games as a HS player — doesn't think he'll have issue playing if needed.

Sure doesn’t sound like he’s too bummed to lose QB1. And maybe he shouldn’t be. Kenny Hill is Kenny Hill and does Kenny Hill things (except against OSU, apparently, when he does Baker Mayfield things). But as a massive Texas Tech fan this week, I’ll take my chances with a true freshman in his first start on the road against the elder Hill who helped squeak out a 55-52 win last time the Frogs were in Lubbock.
Hill has completed 66 percent of his passes, is averaging 228 yards per game and has 16 TDs to 5 INTs but only one TD in his last three Big 12 games.
