Mason Rudolph Named Semifinalist for Walter Camp Award
National recognition for Mason Rudolph continued to pour in on Wednesday when he was named a semifinalist for the Walter Camp Award, given annually to the college football player of the year.
The award, which is the fourth-oldest college football award in the nation, is voted on by the 130 FBS head coaches and SIDs. Here are the fifteen finalists that were named along with Rudolph.

- Josh Adams, Notre Dame
- Saquon Barkley, Penn State
- Bradley Chubb, NC State
- Sam Darnold, USC
- Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama
- Lamar Jackson, Louisville
- Jaquan Johnson, Miami
- Bryce Love, Miami
- Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin
- Khalil Tate, Arizona
- Rashaad Penny, SDSU
- McKenzie Milton, UCF

Rudolph leads the entire FBS in passing yards with 3,690, and has tossed 30 touchdowns on the season. He’s the first Cowboy to be named a semifinalist for the award since Emmanuel Ogbah in 2015. Only one OSU player, Barry Sanders, has ever won the award.
A list of five finalists will be released on Wednesday, Nov. 29, and the winner will be announced on Thursday, Dec. 7.
