The Reload: Gundy hits the Road in Arizona

Gundy hitting the JUCO road

Per gopokes.com, Mike Gundy and cornerbacks coach Tim Duffie hit the road today to see Pima Community College cornerback Haki Wooods, a top 2018 defensive back target from Arizona.

Woods made a visit to Stillwater recently on an official basis where OSU came away smelling rosy in a battle shaping up between the Pokes, Oregon and Arizona, but perhaps a visit from the mullet and his wing man might seal the deal as signing day inches closer.

Woods is a 6-foot-3 prospect who could come in and add depth immediately at a position that needs it sorely. He was a Western State Football League All-Conference cornerback this season.

Former A&M pledge planning OV

Four-star North Richland Hills outside linebacker DaShaun White, a former Texas A&M commit, is planning an official visit to Oklahoma State after his team finishes its playoff run, per a source.

White is a top-300 national recruit with 20+ offers. The real contenders for his services, I’m told, are between OU, Texas and OSU, with the Sooners considered to now be the current frontrunner.

Big boys visiting

Oklahoma State is set to host a slew of big name commits this weekend for official visits. According to gopokes.com, OL pledges Bryce Bray, Hunter Woodard, Jacob Farrell, Hunter Anthony and Tyrese Williams are all scheduled to make their way to Stillwater.

Other OSU commits expected to be in town this weekend are RB commit Jahmyl Jeter, linebacker Blake Barron, safety Kanion Williams and safety Jarrick Bernard. It’s shaping up to be one of the biggest non-gameday visit weekends of the year thus far for a class eligible to sign exactly two weeks from today, with more names likely to be added to that list before the weekend.
