Four-star Defensive Lineman Names OSU, Bama, Clemson Among Top Five Schools
It’s not every day you see a blue-chip defensive lineman include OSU among a list of final schools along with Alabama, Clemson and Texas. But four-star DeMarvin Leal did exactly that on Thursday, dropping a top 5 that was (mostly) blue-blood littered with Bama, Clemson, Texas A&M, Texas and Oklahoma State.
Leal is a Class of 2019 star at the defensive tackle position from Judson High School, rated as a top-150 national recruit and the No. 9 player at his position.
So .. how, you ask, is OSU somehow in the mix here? Leal explained as much to an Aggies troller on Twitter. And it has everything to do with getting in early.

So credit D-line coach Joe Bob Clements — not only did he identify Leal’s talent early, but he’s developed a good enough working relationship with him to land OSU among the nation’s elite.
And considering OSU’s current situation at D-tackle with none incoming for 2018 (yet), Leal would be an absolute boon for a 2019 class that will need to be replenished with multiple commitments at the tackle position.
