Short and Sweet
Nestled in with a gamer from the Iowa State is a comment not expected to be made about this Oklahoma State basketball team.
The Cowboys remained unbeaten against unranked teams. If they can keep it that way and steal a few against ranked teams, their NCAA Tournament resume will look solid. [Yahoo Sports]
Beat everyone unranked, take your lumps against the big dogs and keep hitting shots like No. 3 below – and play basketball into March.
We've got clutch buckets, a high-flying alley-oop and an overtime put-back slam. Good luck choosing today's top play in the win over Iowa State. #letswork #okstate pic.twitter.com/3kkNMTmCuJ

Late Bloomer
Kevin Peterson may embody what Mike Gundy looks for in a player: not initially a can’t-miss prospect but a high propensity to develop into an NFL-worthy player.
“In eighth grade,” (Peterson’s former coach James) Henson said, “there’s no way you would’ve thought this kid was going to be a D-I player, let alone end up on an NFL team.”
But when coaches would pop by the field house over the summer, they’d find Peterson in the bleachers in the middle of the afternoon running steps with another teammate or two. Or on the weekends, he’d be on the field doing speed and agility drills. [NewsOK]
You can just see Gundy salivating when told about that frame and athleticism combined with a voracious work ethic.
OSU and NCAA Notes
Get your Mike Gundy Bingo Cards out while he’s in the Coaches’ Film Room tonight….Super excited about Josh Henson bringing in dudes like this….Tulsa landed Baylor’s transferring quarterback….UCF paraded around DisneyWorld yesterday – brilliant PR making Gundy envious….What’s the matter with Kansas?….Fun read on Georgia fans – tough to imagine being that talented and consistently underperforming
Congrats to the Cowgirls on taking out the Sooners in GIA yesterday.

Update on Rickie’s finish in Hawaii – he’ll finish in the top five but an alien from outer space named Dustin Johnson decided he wouldn’t be messing around.
