Dave Hunziker’s Final Call After OSU Upset Kansas in Lawrence Was Superb
Dave Hunziker, voice of the Cowboys, has produced some epic sound bites since his arrival to Oklahoma State in 2001. Some of the most memorable moments in my OSU fandom I specifically tie back to Hunziker’s in-the-moment description, like Tyreek Hill’s Bedlam punt return and his narration of Oklahoma State’s cinematic highlights of games that Orange Power Studios puts together.
So on Saturday when Oklahoma State — a heavy underdog vs. Kansas — stunned the Jayhawks in Lawrence for the first time since Marcus Smart’s freshman season, it’s only fitting that the man himself provided unforgettable commentary in the final seconds as only he can do.

“Never in your wildest dreams!”
“Five years ago today, Marcus Smart celebrated a Cowboy victory here with a backflip. And Marcus, wherever you are at this moment — if you’re not playing a game — give us a celebratory backflip. Because your Cowboys have done it again!”
The best.
