Mike Boynton’s Addresses Crowd after Upending Kansas: ‘We’re Just Getting Started’
Mike Boynton accepted the OSU head coaching gig to little acclaim and even less recognition, but in less than a year he’s gone from “Oh man, that’s some hire ….” to “Oh man, that was some hire!”
Boynton addressed the GIA faithful on Saturday after Oklahoma State knocked off Kansas 82-64, and after the fans rushed the court and enjoyed the moment, he took the mic and shared a simple message of encouragement.
“This program is far from dead, people,” he said. “We are just getting started.”

That’s something OSU fans like to hear. For those who spent their Saturday inside a packed-out GIA, they’ve got to feel like they got their money’s worth to watch a top-10 upset capped with a personal message by the head coach.
But if we’re being totally real here: this message had just as much to do with the recruits in attendance as it did the fans.
Let’s hope the message was received all the same.
