Video: Mitch Solomon Chokes Up Discussing OSU’s Future With Mike Boynton
Oklahoma State missed the NCAA Tournament by the hair on its chinny-chin-chin, but it’s hard to come away too disappointed with the season.
The Cowboys were picked to finish last in the Big 12, yet they swept Kansas in the regular season, notched gritty road wins over West Virginia, Iowa State and Florida State, and showed promise for what the program could be under Mike Boynton.
That was the same message senior captain Mitch Solomon delivered on Monday when discussing the future of the program.
“I can’t tell you how excited I am [about the future of the program],” said Solomon, fighting back tears. “Lot of young guys coming up, he’s a great person. So I don’t worry that he will get recruits. Has the right culture set up here, and he has a very bright future.”
"Fortunately, we have a lot of basketball to play. We get to play a couple of more games with these guys, and that's something I don't take for granted." –@BigMitch_41 on the Cowboys' postseason. #LetsWork #okstate pic.twitter.com/aTN2uiIrfI
