Four-star Defensive End Marcus Hicks Names OSU In Top Schools
Wichita defensive end Marcus Hicks has more scholarship offers than his age. With 20 and counting, the four-star prospect from Northwest High School in Wichita, Kansas, narrowed his options to 12 on Tuesday.
Among the finalists are Oklahoma State, Ohio State, OU, Texas, Notre Dame and Michigan.
I thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to get a degree and play football at the next level. In no specific order, these are my top schools at this time. Thank you to all the coaches who believe in me. I am truly grateful. Marcus Hicks pic.twitter.com/vKBqNI7bwA

Hicks made numerous trips to Stillwater during the 2017 football season for unofficial visits, and he’s been courted for years by defensive line coach Joe Bob Clements. That relationship is why the Cowboys have stuck tight with him.
Hicks also recently spilled the beans a little about what he’s looking for in his future school with Rivals following a visit to Notre Dame.
“The most important things to me are academics, strength and conditioning and the relationships I have with the coaches,” Hicks told Rivals. “I also realize I have to dig deep into the actual college because coaches can come and go, but if that happens, I just have to stay and know in my mind what the college has to offer for me.”
Hicks is a very raw, ultra-talented 6-5, 235-pound prospect. He’s got the frame to grow into an elite level pass-rusher off the edge, and he’s ranked among the top 300 prospects in the country and the No. 1 player in Kansas.
He followed up his Tuesday decision by setting a new PR on clean early in the gym Wednesday.
