Putnam City DE Collin Clay Names Oklahoma State Among Top Schools
In-state defensive end Collin Clay named Oklahoma State among his top 10 schools over the weekend. Also in his cut, which he says is in no order: Florida, Arkansas, TCU, Michigan, Colorado, North Carolina, Oregon, Georgia and Duke.
Clay is a 6-5, 229-pound class of 2019 prospect who plays at Putnam City.
Potentially a wild card in his recruitment could be the University of Oklahoma, which has not yet — and may not — extend a scholarship offer his way.
Oklahoma State extended an offer last spring, and while Clay has made numerous unofficial visits to OU and interest has been reciprocated, the Sooners haven’t pulled the trigger with an offer.
Last season Clay logged 56 tackles, 3 sacks and 2 pass breakups as a disruptive force for Putnam City’s defensive line.
