Oklahoma State Makes Top Schools for Four-star Offensive Lineman

It’s #topschoolsSZN as 2019 prospects across the country began narrowing their scope and hone in on where they plan to attend college.

Earlier this week, Oklahoma State made the top eight for a talented receiver from St. Louis, and on Monday OSU made the same list for four-star offensive lineman Branson Bragg, a 6-4, 295-pound center from Crandall, Texas.

Bragg is a wanted man out of talent-rich Texas with close to 20 scholarship offers. The Cowboys were his second, which came last April a few weeks after Tulsa hopped aboard first.

Texas, Texas A&M, Stanford, OU, Michigan State, LSU and Arkansas are the schools that round out his top list.

Bragg is regarded as the best center in the state and one of the tops in the country, a position that could desperately use some depth for Oklahoma State. Redshirt junior Johnny Wilson will likely take over snapping duties and succeed Brad Lundblade next season and incoming freshman Tyrese Williams is likely to provide depth when he makes it to campus.

But getting Bragg or a center in the class will be vital to either being Williams’ eventual backup, or challenging him for the starting gig when Wilson expires his eligibility. Another body at the middle of the offense could also allow OSU to push Wilson out to guard, where he thrived in a small sample last season.
