OSU Pulls a Night Game for Big 12 Opener against Texas Tech
OSU gets a night kickoff for its Big 12 opener.
When the Cowboys welcome the Red Raiders of Texas Tech, in what will be the conference opener for both teams, the Loyal and True will enjoy another night game.

Through the first four games on its schedule — as far forward as times have been released — the Pokes will have had kickoff times of 7 p.m. (on a Thursday), 7 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and now 6 p.m. on September 22.
The Cowboys had just one night game at home all of last season (the opener against Tulsa) and three regular season night games all year — at South Alabama and at Texas Tech.
It should make for a fun environment under the lights for a Big 12 opener, especially if the Cowboys can protect home field against Boise State this Saturday and come in 3-0.
You’ll hear few complaints about night games from the fanbase, and Mike Gundy’s probably just fine with it as well — as long as OSU gets them out of the way before quail season. Those morning hunts come early.
