It was an eventful Week 4 for several former Pokes across the NFL. Let’s jump in.

Emmanuel Ogbah Returns from Foot Injury

The third-year defensive end has spent an unfortunate amount of time sidelined during his pro career. He missed six games last season due to a broken right foot, then went down in Week 1 of 2018 with an ankle injury to his opposite leg.

But Ogbah was back on the field Sunday for the Browns’ 45-42 overtime loss to the Raiders. He recorded three total tackles and two passes defended.

Vincent Taylor Eyeing an Increase Role

Vincent Taylor had four total tackles during the Dolphins’ 38-7 rout by the New England Patriots. Taylor’s snaps have been on the rise and the sophomore D-Tackle has been making the most of them.

Now that the Dolphin’s have reportedly cut former Sooner DT Jordan Phillips who was sliding down the depth chart (and apparently not happy about it), Taylor should be looking at even more reps.

Tre Flowers Takes it Back

Tre Flowers grabbed six solo tackles during the Seahawks’ 20-17 win in Arizona, but he really impressed his head coach by stripped the ball from Cardinals running back David Johnson.

“I thought one of the great plays in the game was when Tre Flowers pulled the ball out forcing a turnover,” said Carroll. “We weren’t able to take advantage of that, but that’s something we were really proud of.”

The former Cowboys safety appears to be handling the transition to NFL cover man fairly well.

And this seems pretty good for a rookie with three total games at the position since high school.

Chris Carson’s Expected to Return

Chris Carson was sidelined with a hip injury during the Seahawks’ 20-17 win over the Cardinals, but is expected to be active for Seattle’s Week 5 matchup against its white-hot conference rivals, the Rams.

“He just couldn’t quite get right,” said Pete Carroll. “Once he felt it in the middle of the week, we took it easy on him in hopes that he would be okay on game day. He was really close, but just not right. C.J. (Prosise) had bounced back for us as well, so it just wasn’t the right thing to put him out there. Next week he should be okay, we will keep our fingers crossed on that.”

Tyler Patmon Finding His Place

Patmon recorded a season-high four tackles during the Jaguars’ 31-12 win over the Jets. He’s settled into a nice role on a stacked defense at nickel CB.

One-Liners

• Washington caught two of his four targets for 10 yards, appearing on 74.6 percent of Pittsburgh’s offensive plays and five special teams plays.
Dan Bailey showed out in his Minnesota Vikings debut going 3-for-3 in a tight loss.
• Russell Okung went down with a groin injury during the Chargers’ 29-27 win over the 49ers and is questionable to play this Sunday.
• Blake Jarwin appeared in a career-high 27 snaps on offense during the Cowboys’ 26-24 get-right game against the Lions but was not targeted.
