Union’s AJ Green Commits to Arkansas
Green will be a Razorback, but OSU is still hunting for another RB.
AJ Green’s crystal ball predictions proved right Friday.
Green, a running back/corner out of Union High School in Tulsa, committed to Arkansas. On Thursday, he tweeted out that he would announce his commitment Sunday, but he quickly moved his announcement up to Friday.
Oklahoma State joined the Razorbacks in Green’s Top 8 alongside Oklahoma, LSU, Michigan, South Carolina, Baylor and Texas Tech, which he announced March 27. It seemed as if it was coming down to the two in-state schools and Arkansas.
Green was recruited by different programs as a running back and a wide receiver. OSU was believed to be after him as a running back. He is the No. 3 recruit in Oklahoma and the No. 188 recruit nationally.
Although OSU fans would’ve liked to see Union product in orange and black in 2021, it isn’t the end all be all for OSU at the position in the cycle. The Cowboys already have a commitment from Jaden Nixon out of Frisco.
Cam’Ron Valdez, out of Rockdale, Texas, is now the hottest name on the tongues of OSU recruiting watchers in terms of 2021 running backs. Valdez is the No. 372 player in the class and the 23rd highest ranked running back in the cycle.
