• Mike Boynton released his roster yesterday specs yesterday (height and weight of players) and this fact about Cade Cunningham was particularly startling.
(Cunningham)’s the second-heaviest player on the team, and he is a 6-8 point guard. Absolute madness. It’s almost like having Jelani Woods (6-7, 276 pounds) bringing the ball down the floor. [Pistols Firing]
• Chuba Hubbard hopped off Twitter and then yesterday made an appearance explaining why
• Chris Carson is easily Seattle’s best salary cap bargain – he’s paid like a third-tier back and carries the load of a primary ballcarrier.
After back-to-back 1,100-yard rushing seasons and an increased workload as a pass catcher in 2019, (Carson) figures to be just as active in 2020, especially with Rashaad Penny likely to open the year on the sidelines.
And yet his cap hit would suggest he’s comparable to rotational reserves like Giovani Bernard ($4.76M), Duke Johnson ($4.1M) and Jalen Richard ($3.6M). No way. Carson is bigger and better — an old-school No. 1 in an offense that wants to run the ball — and deserves at least a few million more. [CBS Sports]
• In theory, I love the idea of a college football commissioner. But as much as we realign and spend, college football is at its core a regional sport and one person managing seems problematic.
• OSU is implementing a clear bag policy once athletic events resume – par for the course in college sports
• Six sports had their highest GPA ever – not bad, Oklahoma State.
The highest combined GPA in ?????? ???????.
