Gannon Defensive End Transfer Obi Ezeigbo Commits to Oklahoma State
Ezeigbo follows the Gannon-to-Stillwater pipeline.
A year after Bryan Nardo made the move from Division-II Gannon to Stillwater, one of Nardo’s former players is doing the same.
Obi Ezeigbo announced Friday he has committed to Oklahoma State out of the transfer portal. Listed at 6-foot-3, 252 pounds, Ezeigbo had 54 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks this past season at Gannon in 11 games. He had also announced portal offers to Baylor, Cal and others. Ezeigbo had previously committed to USF out of the portal but flipped to OSU.

Out of Ewing, New Jersey, Ezeigbo had spent the past four seasons at Gannon. He redshirted in 2019 before appearing in all four of Gannon’s games in the 2020 season, where he recorded eight tackles. He made 21 tackles in 10 games as a redshirt sophomore in 2021 — that included four tackles for loss and two sacks.
Then Nardo took over the reigns as Gannon’s defensive coordinator in 2022, and Ezeigbo continued to progress, recording 25 tackles, eight tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks before his big 2023.
Ezeigbo had a three-game stretch in September this past season where he recorded 21 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. He had eight tackles in three games this past season.
Thank You Gannon.

Ezeigbo enters OSU’s defense in a place of need with key defensive end contributors Nathan Latu and Anthony Goodlow exhausting their eligibility. Ezeigbo adds some college experience to a room that could need some next season. Kody Walterscheid (by my count) has another season of eligibility should he choose to use it, and Xavier Ross announced his intentions to return for another year earlier this week. DeSean Brown and Jaleel Johnson each saw snaps at defensive end in their redshirt-freshmen seasons. Both have high upsides but are still young.
Ezeigbo became the fourth player to commit to Oklahoma State out of the portal this cycle, joining safety Kobe Hylton (UTEP), offensive lineman Isaia Glass (Arizona State) and tight end Tyler Foster (Ohio).
