OU Running Back Transfer Kalib Hicks Commits to Oklahoma State
It’s been a weekend full of Bedlam.
It’s been a weekend full of Bedlam with wrestling, basketball and now a former Sooner heading up I-35 to be a Cowboy.
Oklahoma running back transfer Kalib Hicks on Sunday announced that he committed to Oklahoma State. Playing in seven games across the past two seasons, Hicks had five carries for 25 yards and a touchdown as a Sooner. He was a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class out of Denton, Texas.

Hicks had offers to Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Miami, Ole Miss, Penn State and others coming out of Denton-Ryan High School. On3 considered Hicks the No. 299 player in the 2023 class.
He is set to join an OSU running back room that lost star Ollie Gordon to the NFL. Hicks adds to some exciting pieces in the room with guys like Rodney Fields Jr., Trent Howland and Sesi Vailahi — none of whom have entered the transfer portal to this point. AJ Green, an Arkansas transfer who missed this past season because of injury, did hit the portal.
This is the second portal commitment of the day for the Cowboys. They also added Akron linebacker transfer Bryan McCoy, a two-time All-MAC player. Hicks is the fifth portal commitment overall for OSU. The Pokes also have offensive linemen Kasen Carpenter (Tulsa) and Lavaka Taukeiaho (Weber State) and tight end Jordan Owens (Central Arkansas).
