Daily Bullets (Feb. 3): Pokes Wrap Up Undefeated Home Slate
Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.
Scores
Wrestling: Cowboys 36, Missouri 3
OSU Bullets
• The Cowboys finished their home wrestling schedule undefeated after skunking the Missouri Tigers yesterday (PFB)
• Weekend hardwood recap: the Pokes moved to a 3-2 home record in league play after beating Utah, the Cowgirls had a no-good, awful day in Appalachia losing to West Virginia (PFB)
• Better late than never – Bryce Thompson is consistently scoring the ball these days:
Finishing with 20 against the Utes, Thompson has averaged 14.3 points a game across this eight-game stretch. Now he’s hasn’t been perfect in this stretch. He played a key role in OSU’s turnover woes from the past two games (had zero Saturday), but Thompson is a scorer. And he’s scoring. [PFB]
• Wrestling recruitment updates: the No. 3 recruit in the 2026 class committed to the Cowboys yesterday and the top 2026 wrestling recruit in the country is making his decision this week and the Pokes are on the final list (X)
• Big-time generosity from Cowboy fans on Saturday:
🤠 Cowboy Nation, you did it! 🤠 Thanks to your incredible generosity, $10,200 was raised at @OSUMBB yesterday for the fight against cancer! 🎗️🏀 Every dollar makes a difference, and we’re proud to have the best fans rallying for this cause. @osucvc @LutzSteve pic.twitter.com/xc5hG5E5iN

• Best cars for the money in 2025 • Enjoyed this devotional for the last few months, would recommend (faith-based) A newsletter I read focused on an older quote on making friends as adults:
“As external conditions change, it becomes tougher to meet the three conditions that sociologists since the 1950s have considered crucial to making close friends: proximity; repeated, unplanned interactions; and a setting that encourages people to let their guard down and confide in each other, said Rebecca G. Adams, a professor of sociology and gerontology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. This is why so many people meet their lifelong friends in college, she added.”
