Loaded Offensive Recruiting Roundup: Oklahoma State Hits the Recruiting Trail Hard in January

The Cowboys’ new coaching staff is hitting the recruiting trail like Markelle Martin hit ball carriers — hard.

During the month of January, more than 40 prospects in the 2026 recruiting class announced Oklahoma State offers, as the Cowboys’ new staff is making up lost time. We’ve already written about a few quarterbacks the Cowboys have offers (Bowe Bentley and Oscar Rios). Here is a look at other offensive players the Cowboys offered in January (and a few who announced on Feb. 1). We’ll be back Tuesday to take a look at some of the defensive standouts who reported OSU offers.

Running Back

Izayah Lee (Lancaster, Texas): Listed at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, Lee has an offer list that also includes Oregon, Ole Miss, Arizona State, Baylor, TCU, Texas A&M and others. Rivals lists Lee as a four-star recruit and the No. 46 player in Texas.

Wide Receiver

Kohen Brown (Waxahachie, Texas): A four-star prospect, per Rivals, Brown is the No. 49 player in the state of Texas for the class. Listed at 6-feet, 180 pounds, Brown also has offers to USC, Miami, Arkansas, Kansas State, Auburn, Ole Miss, BYU and others. According to MaxPreps, Brown made 54 catches for 1,084 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior while running for another 138 yards and two scores.

Mike Brown (Spring, Texas): The No. 328 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the 2026 class, Brown has offers to Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, Penn State, Ohio State, Kansas State, Arizona State and others. His father, Reggie Brown, was linebacker at Texas A&M and was a first round pick in 1996. His brother, also named Reggie, is a tight end at Tulane.

Chase Campbell (Wolfforth, Texas): Campbell is a top 150 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking, which lists him as the No. 16 player in the state of Texas. A 6-foot-1, 180-pound receiver at Frenship, Campbell caught 81 passes for 1,497 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior, per MaxPreps. He also had 314 rushing yards, six rushing scores, 97 passing yards and two passing TDs. He has offers to Kansas State, Texas Tech, Arkansas, Houston, Missouri, Arizona and others.

Camden Capehart (Winnsboro, Texas): Currently committed to Mississippi State, Capehart won the Texas 3A 100-meter state title as a sophomore, running a 10.44. Rivals tabs him as a four-star prospect and the No. 44 player from Texas. Listed at 5-foot-9, 165 pounds, Capehart also has offers to Florida State, Arizona State, Cal and others.

Dameon Crowe (Richardson, Texas): A three-star prospect, Crowe also has offers to Oklahoma, Utah, Arizona State, Arizona, Putt, Houston and others. He’s listed at 5-foot-8, 150 pounds.

Davis McCray (San Antonio, Texas): Playing at Cornerstone Christian in San Antonio, McCray caught 32 passes for 639 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior, according to MaxPreps. He has also announced offers to Miami, Texas State, UTSA and others.

Aljour Miles II (Kaufman, Texas): Listed at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, Miles is a three-star prospect, according to Rivals and 247Sports. He caught 60 passes for 1,114 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior, according to MaxPreps, and also has offers to Oklahoma, Texas Tech, SMU, USC, Kansas State and others.

Xavier Okwufulueze (Owasso, Oklahoma): A Rejoice Christian prospect, Okwufulueze met with OSU coach Mike Gundy when Gundy went around Tulsa area schools last week. He’s 6-foot-5, 195 pounds and also has offers to Boston College and Utah.

Tyren Parker (Topeka, Kansas): A three-star prospect out of the Sunflower State, Parker is listed as an athlete and plays both ways at Shawnee Heights. As a junior, he caught 50 balls for 946 yards and 11 touchdowns and recorded 48 tackles and two interceptions, according to MaxPreps. A three-star prospect, Parker also has offers to Kansas State, Kansas and Iowa State.

Brayden Robinson (Red Oak, Texas): A consensus four-star prospect, Robinson is a 5-foot-9, 150-pound speedster at Red Oak High School. He’s the No. 212 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking and also has offers to Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, LSU, Oregon, Penn State and others. MaxPreps had him at 79 receptions for 1,119 yards and 15 touchdowns during his junior season.

James Scott (Conroe, Texas): Listed at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, Scott is a three-star prospect, according to Rivals, at Oak Ridge High School. OSU joins the likes of Florida State, Ole Miss, TCU, Arkansas, Texas Tech and others that have offered.

Nate Sims (Ottawa, Kansas): A current Kansas commit, Sims is the No. 673 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking, marking him as the No. 9 player in the state of Kansas. Listed at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, he has also announced an offer to Kansas State.

Christopher Stewart (Houston, Texas): A Texas commit, Stewart is listed at 6-feet, 180 pounds. He’s the No. 144 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking and also has offers to Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Michigan, Miami, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas A&M, USC and others. Playing at Shadow Creek, Stewart made 60 catches as a junior, totaling 922 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Ayson Theus (Dallas, Texas): The No. 498 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking, Theus is a 5-foot-9, 170-pound receiver at Duncanville High School. He’s another speedster, clocking multiple 10.7 100-meter dash times last spring. Theus has also reported offers to Nebraska, Auburn, Colorado, Baylor, Arizona State, Arizona and others.

Jayden Warren (Rosharon, Texas): A 6-foot-2, 188-pound receiver, Warren made 26 catches for 613 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior at Iowa Colony. He’s a four-star prospect, listed as the No. 185 player in the 247Sports Composite rankings. He also has offers to Miami, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, SMU and others.

Tight End

Taimane Purcell (Honolulu, Hawaii): Listed at 6-foot-4, 230 pounds, Purcell is a three-star prospect with offers to Utah, SMU, Florida, Arizona State, BYU, Oregon, Nebraska and others. 247Sports lists him as a three-star prospect and the No. 3 player from Hawaii.

Zachery Turner (Duncanville, Texas): A 6-foot-3, 210-pound tight end/wide receiver hybrid, Turner caught 58 passes as a junior at Duncanville for 933 yards and 14 touchdowns. Rivals considers him a four-star prospect, and he comes in at No. 358 in 247Sports’ Composite ranking for the class. He has also reported offers to LSU, Florida State, Arizona State, Baylor, Michigan, Miami, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, SMU, Texas, USC and others.

Offensive Line

Mataalii Benjamin (Lehi, Utah): Listed at 6-foot-7, 305 pounds, Benjamin plays at Skyridge High School in Utah. 247Sports and Rivals have tabbed him as a three-star prospect. He has also reported offers to Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Nebraska, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Washington and others.

Noah Best (Midlothian, Texas): The No. 358 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking, Best is listed at 6-4, 290 pounds. He has also reported offers to Arkansas, Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech and others.

Quinn Buckey (Bakersfield, California): Listed at 6-7, 285, Buckey plays at Liberty High in Bakersfield. 247Sports lists him as a three-star prospect. He also has offers to Arizona, Boston College, Oregon State, Fresno State and others.

Javeion Cooper (Melbourne, Florida): A current Syracuse commit, Cooper is a 6-5, 300-pound offensive lineman. He’s a four-star prospect and the No. 319 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking. Cooper also has offers to Florida, Florida State, Colorado, Penn State, UCF, West Virginia and others.

Vlad Dyakonov (Folsom, California): Perhaps the greatest name in football history, Dyakonov is a 6-7, 275-pound four-star prosect from California. Rivals lists him as a four star, and the 247Sports Composite ranking has him at No. 358 in the 2026 class. He also has offers to Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, BYU, UCLA, USC, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and others.

Kelvin Obot (Fruitland, Idaho): Listed at 6-5, 285 pounds, Obot is a four-star prospect, coming in as the No. 123 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He also has offers to Oregon, USC, Utah, Nebraska, Michigan, BYU and others.

Jadyn Rhodes (Orange, Texas): A 6-5, 300-pound lineman from the Lone Star State, Rhodes has also announced offers to Houston, Texas State, USTA, UTEP and others.

Hugh Smith (Missouri City, Texas): A three-star lineman at Ridge Point High School, Smith is listed at 6-5, 295 pounds. He has also announced offers to Arizona State, Arkansas, Kansas, Ole Miss, Houston and others.

Kannon Smith (Littleton, Colorado): Listed at 6-5, 290 pounds, Smith is a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports and Rivals, at Valor Christian. He has also announced offers to Oregon, UCLA, USC, Utah, Ole Miss, Michigan, Miami, Kansas State and others.
