The state of Arizona has only recently joined the Big 12’s footprint, and the Cowboys are already searching the desert for talent.

A pair of Class of 2027 quarterbacks from Arizona announced offers to Oklahoma State on Monday. Here is a look at each guy.

Will Mencl

Mencl plays at Chandler High School. Listed ay 6-foot-4, 205 pounds as a high school sophomore, Mencl threw for 1,070 yards and 11 touchdowns in eight games this past season while running for another 183 yards and five scores.

247Sports and Rivals each consider Mencl a three-star prospect, with the former listing him as the No. 47 quarterback in the class and the No. 17 player from the state of Arizona. Based on his offer sheet while still being so young, he seems certain to fly up the rankings soon. Mencl has also announced offers to Arkansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, SMU, Kentucky, Kansas, Boston College and others.

From throwing dimes on the run and stiff-arming would-be tacklers to the turf, his highlights are a fun watch.

Kael Snyder

Snyder plays at Perry High in Gilbert, Arizona. He threw for 2,149 yards and 17 touchdowns in a dozen games as a sophomore. He also had 60 rushing yards and three more TDs on the ground.

Rivals and 247Sports each list Snyder as a three-star prospect, with Rivals tabbing him as the No. 9 player from Arizona and the No. 34 quarterback in the cycle. His recruitment has picked up a lot of steam as of late, with OSU, Kansas State, UCF and Iowa State all offering in May. Those four programs add to the likes of Kentucky, Utah, Boise State and others on Snyder’s offer list.

Listed at 6-3, 215 pounds, Snyder also plays lacrosse.

As is the case with Mencl, Snyder does not look like a high school sophomore in these highlights.
