Kick Time Announced for Oklahoma State’s Big 12 Opener against Baylor
The Pokes and Bears will kick in the afternoon.
The Cowboys Big 12 slate will start in the afternoon.
Oklahoma State on Monday announced that it’s Sept. 27 Big 12 opener against Baylor will kick at 2:30 p.m. from Boone Pickens Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
OSU is 1-1 entering this weekend’s game against Tulsa (which kicks at 6:30 p.m. Friday). The Cowboys have a 20-point win against FCS UT-Martin and a 66-point loss to national contender Oregon.
The Bears are 2-1 going into their Big 12 opener against Arizona State this weekend in Waco. Baylor started the year with a 38-24 home loss to Auburn before beating a ranked SMU squad in double-overtime in Week 2. The Bears throttled FCS Samford 42-7 this past weekend.
This’ll mark the Cowboys second time kicking off in this time slot this season, though the first comes with a bit of a caveat in that it was 2:30 p.m. Cowboy time but it was 12:30 p.m. local time in Oregon.
It’ll be Baylor’s first afternoon kick of the season, as the Bears have kicked twice at 11 a.m. and will have kicked twice in the evening entering this matchup.
OSU enters this game with Baylor having won four of the past 10 against the Bears. Their most recent meeting game last season in Waco, where Baylor won 38-28 after the Bears rushed for 343 yards.
