Handful of Cowboys Allude to Returns for 2026
Some Cowboys took to social media to allude to their returns.
It felt like a bit there like Eric Morris would have to build his first Cowboy roster from scratch.
But amid the portal exodus, some Cowboys took to X on Wednesday to allude to the fact that they’ll be back in orange and black in 2026. These almost certainly won’t be the only guys sticking around, but here are who we saw send tweets out:
Jacobi Oliphant Jr., LB:Â Oliphant joined the Cowboys as a jumbo defensive back in the 2024 recruiting class but made the move to linebacker in his redshirt freshman season. Listed at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, Oliphant made 26 tackles in 2025, including two sacks. He also broke up a pass.
Kobi Foreman, CB:Â Kobi Foreman played in nine games in his true freshman season, meaning no redshirt. He made a pair of tackles and also provided a spark in the return game, leading the Cowboys with 114 yards on his six kick returns. He was a three-star recruit out of Dallas and chose OSU over offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Texas Tech, North Texas and others.
Gunnar Wilson, LB:Â A 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker out of Melissa, Texas, Wilson played in nine games as a redshirt freshman in 2025, primarily on special teams. He finished the year with three tackles. North Texas was Wilson’s first offer coming out of Melissa High School, coming just a few months after Morris took over in Denton.
Draden Fullbright, CB:Â Fullbright took part in four games as a freshman in 2025 while maintaining his redshirt. Listed at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, Fullbright made a pair of tackles.
Miguel Chavez, OL:Â Chavez redshirted in 2025, not seeing any in-game action. Out of Muskogee, Chavez is listed at 6-foot-5, 300 pounds.
