Report: Vanderbilt Corner Transfer Trudell Berry Signs with Oklahoma State
OSU adds a corner from the SEC.
The Cowboys are bringing in a corner from the SEC.
Vanderbilt’s Trudell Berry signed with Oklahoma State, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. Berry didn’t record any stats for the Commodores in 2025 but he played in 24 games between 2022 and 2024, where he’s recorded 29 tackles, two tackles for loss, six pass breakups and a forced fumble.
Listed at 6-foot-1, 196 pounds, Berry’s most productive season game in 2023, where he took part in nine games and made 21 tackles and a tackle for loss. He had nine tackles alone against UNLV.
He hails from Baytown, Texas, which is east of Houston.
Berry was a four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, with 247Sports listing him as the No. 230 overall player in the class and a top 40 player from Texas. He committed to Vanderbilt over offers from Tulane, Sam Houston, Colorado State, Marshall and others.
According to PFF, Berry has been targeted 45 times in coverage throughout his college career and has given up just 24 completions.
Berry is the fifth portal corner the Cowboys have taken this window, joining Kanijal Thomas (Kansas State), Kollin Lewis (North Texas), Maurion Horn (Texas Tech) and Christian Bodnar (Liberty). Berry is the third transfer OSU has picked up from an SEC school, joining tight end Donovan Green (LSU) and offensive lineman Jacob Sexton (Oklahoma).
