Oklahoma Offensive Line Transfer Jacob Sexton Commits to Oklahoma State
Sexton started 14 games in his OU career.
A former four-star prospect is crossing Bedlam lines to stay in his home state.
Jacob Sexton committed to Oklahoma State on Tuesday evening, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
Sexton is a 6-foot-6, 330-pound offensive tackle who had been at Oklahoma since the 2022 season. He started 14 games across his four seasons in Norman but has had to battle through injuries in that time.
His commitment comes after he visited Stillwater on Tuesday.
Sexton’s busiest season came in 2024, when Sexton played 510 snaps, according to PFF. He played 410 in 2023 and just six this past season before a lower-body injury ended his year.
Of his 997 career offensive snaps, 404 have come at left tackle, 312 at right tackle and 281 at left guard. In 497 career opportunities, Sexton allowed seven sacks and 30 pressures.
Out of Deer Creek, Sexton was a four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He was the No. 258 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the class and chose OU over offers from OSU, Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan and others.
Eric Morris and Co. are trying to beef up their protection for five-star transfer quarterback Drew Mestemaker. Sexton is the fifth offensive lineman to commit to OSU since the portal opened on Friday. He’s the first with no ties to the new staff, as he joins North Texas transfers Desmond Magiya, Braydon Nelson and Johnny Dickson, as well as Kansas transfer Tyler Mercer, who was at UNT before KU.
