Cowboys Offer 2027 Defensive Line Prospect Keilan Neal
OSU offers a DT from Tennessee.
The Pokes have offered a second 2027 D-tackle in as many days, and this one has a pretty cool story.
Keilan Neal, a 6-foot-2, 280-pound prospect out of Tennessee, announced an Oklahoma State offer via his X account on Tuesday.
Neal hails from Franklin Road Academy in Nashville where he racked up 65 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and eight sacks last season as a junior. He’s a ball stop on defense but Neal is also versatile.
He played along the offensive line and even scored a 29-yard touchdown on the one time he got the ball in his hands. He’s also a Tennessee Division-II Class A state champion in shot put.
That size, versatility and playmaking ability mean he’s already got a slew of collegiate suitors. The Cowboys are just the latest in a line of 19 offers including the likes of Kansas State, Iowa State, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and others. He’s taken official visits associated with offers from K-State, Tulane and South Florida.
Neal is a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports and Rivals, and the No. 78 DT in the class and the No. 25 overall prospect out of the Volunteer State, according to 247.
But set the playmaking, the measurables and versatility aside for a moment. Neal has been through more than most of us. He’s a bonafide survivor. In sixth grade, Neal was dealt a life-changing diagnosis, a tumor the size of a softball in the frontal lobe of his brain.
Take a peek at his highlights.
