OSU Football: OC Sean Brophy, GM Raj Murti Land on 247Sports’ 30 Under 30 List
A handful of OSU staffers were recognized.
A few Cowboy staff members and a former Cowboy have been recognized as some of the most promising up-and-comers in the FBS.
247Sports released its annual 30 Under 30 list which recognizes some of the staff members in college football yet to complete their third decades. Representing OSU on the list was offensive coordinator Sean Brophy and general manager Raj Murti.
Brophy, coming just under the age limit at 29, coordinated the No. 2 passing offense in the country last season at North Texas and helped coach and recruit the FBS’s leading passer Drew Mestemaker to Stillwater this offseason.
Murti, at 25, is the youngest general manager in the Power Four and he’s risen quickly. Six years ago he was a student intern and then five years later, Eric Morris hired him to be the GM at North Texas. When it was announced that Morris was taking the reins at OSU, Murti was one of the first people on the job to start recruiting.
That seems to be his specialty with a source in the article saying, “Raj is a people person. He makes you feel comfortable. That’s his superpower.”
Also recognized in the section “highly recommended young personnel staffers,” was director of scouting Wes Drake. He also followed Morris from UNT where he was the Director of Player Personnel last year and oversaw both high school and portal recruiting when it comes to player evaluation.
There was another familiar name on the list. Fans may remember Darrion Daniels for his four years playing defensive tackle for the Pokes from 2015-18. Now at 28 years old, Daniels is the defensive line coach/pass rush specialist at Cal.
