The Cowboys’ leading receiver and starting guard are listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against UCF.

The initial player availability report for Oklahoma State’s game against UCF released on Wednesday night, revealing that Wyatt Young and Johnny Dickson III are questionable. Defensive tackle Landon Dean will miss the game, while offensive tackle Braydon Nelson is listed as probable to make his OSU debut.

Here’s the report in full:

Young leads the Cowboys in receptions (22) and receiving yards (410) after his big game against West Virginia. In Morgantown, Young caught eight balls for 192 yards and a touchdown. That came two weeks after Young caught five balls for 121 yards and a score against Oregon.

Dickson has played 297 snaps on the Cowboys’ offensive line through four games, per PFF, with 192 of those snaps coming at left guard and 105 coming at right guard. His snap total leads all OSU offensive players.

Nelson appeared on the depth chart this week, with OSU coach Eric Morris saying he expects the North Texas transfer to rotate in. He played 1,836 snaps across the past two seasons with the Mean Green, with most of those coming at left tackle.

Dean is a redshirt senior who has spent his entire career in Stillwater. He has regularly rotated in on the defensive front this season, playing 173 snaps.

It’s less than ideal for the Cowboys that Young and Dickson are questionable and Dean is out, but the injury report is much beefier on UCF’s side.

The Knights’ will be without starting quarterback Alonza Barnett III again. They’ll also be without starting center Jacob Maiava and staring linebacker Lewis Carter.
