A Reminder That Brandon Sheperd’s 4XL Hands Are Good for One-Handed Grabs
I was reading Kieran Steckley’s profile on Brandon Sheperd this morning, and I was reminded that Brandon Sheperd might have the biggest hands in college football history.
My pal Nolan Cox — better known as Mason Cox’s brother, probably — always swore Dez Bryant’s hands were among the biggest in the world (Nolan is 6’6 and Dez’s hands made his look like a 5-year-old’s), but Sheperd has to be giving him a run for his money.
With the amount of damage Sheperd can do with his hands, they need to be healthy. He recently started wearing 4XL gloves because his hands kept breaking his 3XL pairs.
Sheperd maintains his strength after catching the rock is just as important as his mammoth hands.
“That’s what I do,” Sheperd said. “That’s what I was taught to do. I’m not about to just quit because you got three or four people. I’m going to get rid of at least two of them and then it’s going to be one-on-one, and we can settle it that way.”
You should go read the entire piece.
