Is Jeff Carr Going to Start on Saturday for Oklahoma State?
After Chris Carson suffered what was an apparent ankle injury in Austin last weekend, Rennie Childs appeared to be the back that would jump in as the lead back. This morning the Orange Factor Twitter account noted that Childs had suffered a concussion in practice and has been ruled out.
Now Gerald Tracy of Cowboys Ride For Free is reporting the same thing and saying that true freshman tailback Jeff Carr will make his first start for the Cowboys. This has not been confirmed by the OSU staff, but that’s a lot of chatter suggesting that Carson is still gimpy and Childs may be out indefinitely for it to not be true.
Childs out w/ injury, Carson could play but not 100 percent, Carr the starter for #Okstate

Carr is averaging 5.1 yards per carry for the Pokes this season; a number that can be deceiving, considering he has only carried the ball 10 times. As a senior, Carr rushed for 1,710 on 179 carries and helped lead his team to a state championship with Temple, Texas.
Carr turned heads in fall camp and earned a spot in the running back rotation, as well as the starting job as the starting kick returner.
