Stepping in his place will be true freshman quarterback Jarrett Stidham, who was a five-star recruit who played his high school at Stephenville, TX. Despite his role as a backup true freshman, Stidham has completed 85.7% of his pass attempts this season for 331 yards and six touchdowns.
Even with Stidham’s impressive numbers, the implications of Russell’s injury in regards to the Big 12 championship race will be hard to ignore.
Oklahoma State and Baylor face off on Nov. 21 in Stillwater.
