Cowboys Get Rolled in Bedlam
Bedlam: A scene of uproar and confusion.
There was much uproar on Saturday night in a rowdy Boone Pickens Stadium, but the Oklahoma Sooners left no confusion as to who the better team was, dominating the Cowboys 58-23.
Forget the fact that No. 2 only played a few snaps, and his only completion went to the other team for a touchdown. The Cowboys played generally uninspired football and their inability to tackle, wrap up, or drag down anyone wearing crimson caught up quickly. The Sooners ripped off two 60+ yard dashes in the first half that gashed the Cowboy defense and exposed the inability to defend the run yet again.
The Sooners came out firing from the beginning and, just as much of the season has gone, the Cowboys were left playing from behind with a predictable offense and again no sign of a running game.
Walsh played his heart out, and I don’t think he could have done much more than what he was asked. He played a heck of a game, but big plays by the Sooners were too much to overcome.
The regular season will conclude with a 10-2 record, and will hopefully have the benefit of a healthy Mason Rudolph to take into bowl season.
