James Washington Becomes OSU’s Seventh 1,000-Yard Receiver Ever
The President James Washington had a 169-yard performance to put him over 1,000 yards on the season. That’s the first 1,000-yard receiver OSU has had since 2012 when Josh Stewart reached the 1,200-yard plateau. It’s just the seventh player who has ever reached that mark in Oklahoma State history.
Adarius Bowman, Rashaun Woods, Hart Lee Dykes, Dez Bryant, Justin Blackmon and Josh Stewart are the others.
In fact, it’s also the first 1,000-yard receiver or rusher OSU has had since 2012 (Joe Randle rushed for over 1,000 yards that season).
Here are Washington’s stats.
Four of five of his last eight games were of the 100-yard variety. That’s pretty awesome. It’s even crazier that he’s reached 1,000 yards on just 52 catches. His 20.7 YPC number is the best of any of these 1,000-yard seasons.
“I’m going to work with my team and get better,” said Washington on Saturday night. “We have to bounce back in the next game. I’m just blessed to get the opportunity. I just come out every day in practice, work hard and get rewarded in the games.”
