Dan Bailey Hit a 54-Yard Field Goal to Win Monday Night Football
Dirty Dan is at it again. Dan Bailey hit a 54-yard field goal with 10 seconds left against the Washington Professional Football Team to keep the Dallas Cowboys alive in the NFC East at 4-8 (!) Here’s a look at the bomb.

“It was excitement,” Bailey told the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram. “We were all in that moment. This team is about fight. We were fighting hard. To come away with a win was pretty exciting. I didn’t know if (Jason Witten) was going to tackle me or what. He is a pretty big guy. It was exciting. It was a lot of fun.”
“It’s just another kick,” Bailey said. “You try not to make it bigger than what it is. You really try to dumb down the situation and kind of take the pressure off yourself. I have a ton of confidence in the operation. A great group of guys to do our job with. It eases my mind.”
“I mean, Dan is the best that there is at those kicks,” added Jason Witten.
Also, how about this stat via ESPN?
Entering Monday, there had been 46 regular-season and playoff field goal tries that met the following conditions: 54 yards or longer, score differential of three points or less (including ties) and 20 seconds or less remaining in the fourth quarter or overtime
Kickers were 16-of-46 (34.8 percent) on those kicks, including 2-of-9 dating to the start of last season. The two other kickers with makes were Dan Carpenter against the Lions last season and Stephen Gostkowski against the Giants this season.
Bailey was 4/4 on the night and is easily the most accurate kicker in NFL history. Here’s the top 10.
Dez, by the way did a bunch of Dez stuff.
