Emmanuel Ogbah Named Sporting News All-American
Emmanuel Ogbah is raking in the awards, after a junior season in which he racked up 13 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss, nationally ranking No. 4 and No. 14, respectively.
On Tuesday, Ogbah was named to the Sporting News All-American team. The Sporting News is one of five All-American teams recognized by the NCAA. With Ogbah already being included on the Walter Camp and Sporting News teams, he can become a consensus All-American Wednesday if he is listed on the AFCA team.
Ogbah was also named the co-defensive Big 12 player of the year – the first Cowboy ever to earn that distinction. Pretty amazing accomplishments for a guy who was only a three-star prospect coming out of high school.
