Report: Barry J. Sanders to OSU “A Probability”
A report surfacing from The Oklahoman earlier this week stated that Barry J. Sanders, Stanford running back and son of Heisman winner Barry Sanders, has been granted a full release from his University and is eligible to transfer anywhere besides the Pac-12.
Bill Haisten of the Tulsa World now reports that sources close to the program indicate that Sanders ending up in Stillwater “appears to be a probability.”
Sanders rushed for 672 yards and five touchdowns during his career at Stanford, but would be a valuable veteran presence in a backfield that could use a jolt of experience.
Chris Carson, Rennie Childs, and Jeff Carr are all returning members in the backfield from last season, with true freshman Justice Hill potentially pushing for playing time as a true freshman from Booker T. Washington.
