Oakland Raiders Retain Former Oklahoma State DE Jimmy Bean
The Oakland Raiders announced on Monday that they have signed former Oklahoma State defensive end Jimmy Bean to a reserve/future contract with the team. He finished the year with the team on the practice squad, which means he will be with the team during the offseason program.
The team made an early exit from the playoffs this past weekend, falling to Houston after losing starting quarterback Derek Carr a week before.
Bean finished his career at Oklahoma State on an unfortunate note. After making 34 starts for the Cowboys, he tore his ACL midway through his senior season. Because of the injury, he was not drafted, but signed a free-agent agreement with the Raiders where he has spent the season on the practice squad.
