Cowboy Tennis Reaches Highest Ranking Ever, Cowgirls Leap To No. 7
OSU men’s and women’s tennis teams each saw a jump in the latest ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings. The Cowgirls, coming off impressive wins in Seattle over the weekend, jumped four spots to No. 7 in the polls joining three other Big 12 teams in the top 10.
The Cowboys made program history this week ascending to No. 4 in the polls making it the highest ranking ever achieved by an OSU men’s team. Coach Udwadia was cautiously optimistic with the news.
“We’ve had a solid start through the first half of our season and it’s nice to see that be rewarded in the rankings, but we still have a lot of matches left to be played,” said Udwadia. “Right now, it’s just a number and we have to stay focused on the matches coming up. We’re on the right track and we’re going to continue to do our best to represent Oklahoma State in the best way possible.”
