Bean made the Oakland Raiders practice squad in 2016 and signed an offseason deal to remain in Oakland following the 2016 season.
Bean reportedly suffered an undisclosed injury during a Raiders practice last week and was subsequently cut to make a roster spot for left tackle Donald Penn.
Whatever injury he suffered was apparently significant enough to keep Bean from passing the Broncos’ physical exam which, in turn, ended his tenure in Denver before it ever began.
Bean was a projected mid-round draft pick before suffering a torn ACL with five games remaining in his senior season at Oklahoma State. In those eight games in 2015, Bean tallied 5.5 sacks, 10.5 tackles for loss two QB hurries.
