Spencer Sanders ran for all of the yards, C.J. Moore had a nice day and plenty of future Cowboys were inactive last week. Here is how everyone did in week nine action.

Spencer Sanders, Quarterback

Denton Ryan roped Wichita Falls 41-13 last week and star quarterback Spencer Sanders put up all of the numbers. The 9th ranked dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2018 according to 247 sports, Sanders ran for 117 yards and a touchdown while averaging 29 yards per carry (!!) to go with 230 yards and five more touchdowns through the air.

Also, Sanders only played the first half. Yes, thats 347 yards and six touchdowns in just one half of play.

CJ Moore, Wide Receiver

The Union Redskins routed Putnam City North last week 41-3, securing Union’s 29th district championship in school history. Moore caught seven balls for 98 yards and two touchdowns last week, and Union has one final tune-up for the playoffs against Mustang next week.

Jahmyl Jeter, Running Back

Brennan beat San Antonio Taft last weekend 34-9 and standout running back Jahmyl Jeter was not needed. The Brennan Bears elected to rest Jeter in advance of a next week’s matchup with SA Marshall and a regular season finale tilt with SA O’Connor before the Bears head into the playoffs.

Jeter is currently at 1,060 yards and 16 scores this year at 8.4 yards per carry.

Jonathon Shepherd, Wide Receiver

Shepherd and the Kilgore Bulldogs were on a bye last week and will play at Center and home to Bullard to close out the year. Kilgore is 3-1 in district and likely to make playoffs.

Gabe Lemons, Athlete

Coppell beat Richardson Berkner 59-20 last week to move to 7-1 on the year. Lemons caught two balls for 12 yards on offense and was part of a defense that held Berkner to just 87 yards in the first half as Coppell took a 38-0 lead to the locker room.

The Cowboys’ lone loss this year came to Texas powerhouse Allen, and Coppell will look to go deep in this year’s playoffs after rounding out the year with games against Dallas Skyline and Richardson. Coppell officially clinched a playoff berth with the win over Berkner.
