Brad Underwood “Ecstatic” At Selection Sunday Watch Party
Brad Underwood has injected optimism into OSU’s fan base. Even after his young team lost two straight to end the season and suffered an early exit in the Big 12 Tournament, the buzz is palpable as the Cowboys look ahead to their 7-10 matchup with Michigan.
On Sunday, as his team was gathered with staff, family and fans to learn who their first-round NCAA opponent would be, the first-year head just coach soaked it in.
“To sit in there with the Oklahoma State family and all the fans and to have to put more seats in because there weren’t enough,” Underwood said “that’s how we build this and that’s how we’re going to build this.”
The occasion also allowed Underwood to reflect on all that’s occurred during his first full year in Stillwater.
“We used the word family a lot,” said Underwood “and that word and those young men helped us get through a very trying time this summer when we lost Ty[rek Coger].”
If Underwood hasn’t already won over the majority of the Oklahoma State fan base, a strong showing on Friday should surely do the trick.
Here’s the full clip.
